SRM Hotel Trichy ★★★★

Nothing much to like really. Basic hotel, with a super old property, probably calling themselves 4 star for several years, but forgot that such ratings need to be maintained properly as well.

We had 4 rooms on New Year's Eve, so we were mentally prepared for the noise from the New Year party which the hotel was hosting. What we were not prepared for was, after paying handsomely for a hotel that calls itself one of the top ones in Trichy, we got rooms that had a damp smell as soon as we entered. 3 of the rooms we stayed in, had black mold in the bathroom on its walls. One of the room had a faucet handle come off. The TV in one room wouldn't switch on. We requested support from a staff, he tried for a bit, then said he has informed maintenance to come over, but nobody came.... neither did we bother because we knew their staff would be busy with New year party. Breakfast in the morning was served in the restaurant which had AC running at maybe 20degC at 8AM, and imagine they cooking eggs, omelettes on a live counter inside this AC hall... anything we ate practically smelled like eggs. The filter coffee they served as basically coffee coloured milk... imagine that in Trichy! Overall, best avoided.

Location close to the airport and that's about it.

No staff available in restaurant and coffee shop in the lobby , waited for 20 minutes for staff to appear , as no one was available in the evening we had to go back to the room to order food from our room. Did not stay for breakfast so can't comment on that as it was a short few hours of stay. food was of acceptable taste. There is no value for money either especially when you look at the service.

Not fully clean, there were mosquitos in the room and lobby.

The villa's and its ambience, complete privacy which we liked it very much. Also its very calm and peace environment which like more. The food is really good.

The price is little higher side and from villa to restaurant is too far and its like the hotel and the villas are not linked..

WiFi was not working at all. Rooms look very old. Toilet flush not working. Ordered food was burnt.Toilet in the ground floor was dirt, broken and sticking

The rooms are big enough, check-in process was fast. Location wise it was good.

The rooms had a very old smell, my friends room had a stench.coming from the toilet , he had to change the rooms twice. We dint have breakfast so can't comment on that

We did not have the opportunity to take breakfast but we had room service for beverages and it was good. The parking and security was excellent.

Some of the staff at front desk was obnoxious in their demeanor. When we checked in at about 10am (although early), we requested for at least 1 room to freshen up but was not very helpful and accommodative. We had to wait till 1.30 pm to check in and there was poor air-conditioning in the reception area. However, the manager and one staff Ms Rajeswari was very supportive and provided impeccable service. We would choose this property for future travels.

Staff were very helpful and able to understand customer needs. Food is excellent. I tasted a variety of food. All were very tasty and good quality.

It's not comfortable for relaxation. It has very small television and it's located in a corner of the room.

Honesty

It seems they don't handle our phone calls, I left a watch in the room which was remembered after a day but no one contacted me via email. After 3 days I returned to the hotel to find out and it was given to after an hour.
