What was the highlight of SRM Hotel Trichy
Please avoid... better to spend few bucks elsewhere
Nothing much to like really. Basic hotel, with a super old property, probably calling themselves 4 star for several years, but forgot that such ratings need to be maintained properly as well.
We had 4 rooms on New Year's Eve, so we were mentally prepared for the noise from the New Year party which the hotel was hosting. What we were not prepared for was, after paying handsomely for a hotel that calls itself one of the top ones in Trichy, we got rooms that had a damp smell as soon as we entered. 3 of the rooms we stayed in, had black mold in the bathroom on its walls. One of the room had a faucet handle come off. The TV in one room wouldn't switch on. We requested support from a staff, he tried for a bit, then said he has informed maintenance to come over, but nobody came.... neither did we bother because we knew their staff would be busy with New year party. Breakfast in the morning was served in the restaurant which had AC running at maybe 20degC at 8AM, and imagine they cooking eggs, omelettes on a live counter inside this AC hall... anything we ate practically smelled like eggs. The filter coffee they served as basically coffee coloured milk... imagine that in Trichy! Overall, best avoided.

Would reconsider other options before booking again.
Location close to the airport and that's about it.
No staff available in restaurant and coffee shop in the lobby , waited for 20 minutes for staff to appear , as no one was available in the evening we had to go back to the room to order food from our room. Did not stay for breakfast so can't comment on that as it was a short few hours of stay. food was of acceptable taste. There is no value for money either especially when you look at the service.
